Dan Hook: **Phone calls to Enterprise on base to reserve vehicles may work out over trying to reserve via the enterprise web page **
We attempted to rent a moving van from this location and used the web site to book. thirty minuets prior to pick-up I received a phone call letting me know that the vehicle is not available, and that they have a reservation book in the office which they use for reservations and not the web site. they offered a vehicle after 1600 ( that was currently out and if it was returned on-time ). I told them that i had other obligations and due to them not having the vehicle i would like a refund of the money.
I was told that they could not refund the money and I would need to contact the regional customer service office. after several attempts to contact the customer service office and trying to break the language barrier ( my German speaking ability is weak) i was forced to return to the location to ask for assistance, the spangdahlem location pushed me off to their manager who is based out of Ramstein, and the manager at Ramstein said she could not call into the regional office and explain what happened due to me using the web site.
Unfortunately i had to contact USAA and explain what happened they said that this was a case of fraud, due to reserved vehicle not being available so they start the investigation and my money was returned.
ON A GOOD NOTE:
I did find Avis ( off base on the back side of the old bitburg base) They were helpful ,polite, and fast in getting you in and out in the vehicle that was reserved ( via the web site). I guess if your not under the AAFES umbrella you actually have to provide customer service and ensure customer service satisfaction.
Judy A: We rented a car from them last year, they and the car were great! Definitely going to do business with them again.
Patrick Schliesing: Don't bother with the Spang Enterprise. Staff are rude to women, give you dirty vehicles littered with garbage, overcharge you compared to the web price, and lie about the cars they have on hand. Avoid if possible. Bitburg has rental companies 15min away, Wittlich about 20min away.
